ART & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE

The Art and Environment Committee at Epiphany plays a crucial role in infusing beauty, spirituality, and environmental consciousness into the liturgical experience. Recognizing the transformative power of art, the committee seeks to create a sacred space that nurtures the faith of the community. Through their dedication to aesthetics, sustainability, and inclusivity, this committee inspires us to recognize God's presence and encounter the divine through the medium of art. From meticulously arranging flowers, to curating stunning visual displays, the committee works to create a sacred ambiance that reflects the beauty and mystery of Catholic worship.

One of the committee's responsibilities is the decoration of the church sanctuary. This involves selecting the appropriate liturgical colors, arranging altar linens, and adorning the sanctuary with sacred imagery. Members carefully choose artwork that corresponds with the liturgical season or specific feast days, helping to create a visual narrative that brings the sacred mysteries to life. The committee's artistic vision extends to the selection of images. for our video screens and to appropriate liturgical furnishings for special celebrations and rituals.

The committee fosters collaboration and creativity within the Epiphany community, encouraging the involvement of parishioners with artistic gifts or a passion for the arts to contribute their talents to the beautification of the church. The Art and Environment Committee values the various artistic expressions of different cultures and traditions within the Catholic Church, promoting diverse art forms and artwork from different cultures, ensuring that the spiritual experience of the faithful is enriched by the multiplicity of human creativity.
