Janet Bitner Office Administrator
As a typically provincial New York native, Janet’s life covers the impressive eight mile expanse from Washington Heights to Throggs Neck, from the Hudson River to Eastchester Bay.
The Good Lord has blessed Janet with two sons, Sean & Neil, who are in her heart and prayers every day. She enjoys life with Craig, her very useful & loveable husband of 35 years, and her playful dog, Dixie, who is afraid of everything except the vacuum cleaner.
Her position as Parish Sec'y is her favorite job so far. It’s like being on vacation, except she gets paid for doing it. Janet is grateful to Msgr Ivers for bringing her to Epiphany in 2013 and to our current Commander in Chief, Father Titus.
Janet’s hobbies are crossword puzzles, baking, and sleeping on the subway between the Bronx & Epiphany.
For Janet, life can be summed up in the words of Thomas Merton, “We must be content to live without watching ourselves live, to work without expecting any immediate reward, to love without an instantaneous satisfaction, and to exist without any special recognition.”
An even truer compass is her mother’s advice for difficult days, “Offer it up!”
