Hospitality Ministry
At Epiphany, the Hospitality Ministry plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all who enter the doors of our family home—the church. This ministry aims to reflect the love, warmth, and acceptance that Jesus Christ exemplified during his time on earth.
Our Hospitality Ministry is responsible for ensuring that everyone who walks through the church's doors feels valued and included. Their primary focus is to create an atmosphere of hospitality and to make individuals, whether they are members or newcomers, feel genuinely welcomed and at ease. This ministry understands that the physical environment and the interactions people have within the church have a profound impact on their overall experience.
One of the key duties of the Hospitality Ministry is to greet and assist people as they enter the church. Volunteers are often stationed at the doors, ready to offer a friendly smile, a warm handshake, or a simple hello. They strive to create a sense of comfort and belonging right from the moment people step foot inside the church premises. Moreover, the Hospitality Ministry ensures that all individuals attending services or events within the church are adequately accommodated. They assist in seating arrangements, especially for the elderly, individuals with disabilities, or families with young children. This gesture not only demonstrates care and consideration but also fosters an environment that is inclusive and accessible to everyone.
Members of our Hospitality Ministry also support our fellowship after Masses by serving coffee, donuts and other treats (pizza and refreshments after the 7:30pm Young Adults Mass!). They are also the support team for funerals and weddings and other special events in the church. They also manage the pew collections at our Sunday Masses. And our Garden Ministry also falls under the Hospitality team responsibilities.
