MONTHLY FOOD DRIVE

Every month—in collaboration with the Sant Egidio Community (a world-wide community of Catholic lay people)—Epiphany parishioners contribute food items that will be used to prepare meals for our homeless sisters and brothers. This monthly food drive, in its fourth year, provides a good supply of all the ingredients that the Sant Egidio community needs for their twice-weekly food distribution. Their regular requests are for:

jars of peanut butter, and jelly

packaged cookies

cans of tuna

packages of ground coffee

packaged paper napkins

brown paper lunch bags

plastic spoons and forks

PLEASE, DONATE ONLY THESE ITEMS. AT PRESENT, WE DO NOT RUN A FOOD PANTRY FOR ALL OTHER KINDS OF FOOD DONATIONS!

This compassionate, cooperative initiative is inspired, of course, by the call of Jesus to feed the hungry among us. It has been positively impacting our community for several years. As a pillar of support to those in need, Epiphany Church usually hosts this donation event on the third week of the month. Donors are asked to bring the food to a deposit box in our church Narthex.
