Alpha is a unique “meet-you-where-you-are” course. Adults of any age or background can benefit from the relaxed atmosphere and low-pressure setting. Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of our Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. We don’t assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome.
Each weekly Alpha meeting consists of
1) A delicious, home-cooked meal (and time to meet new friends),
2) Screening of a short film which looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.
3) A wide-ranging non-judgmental discussion of the ideas and themes in the film. This is the moment when the Holy Spirit truly does its work on all the participants!

This Alpha is for people 18-35. These Young Adult Alphas have been our most successful to date at Epiphany, and they have helped create a truly dynamic and welcoming community of young adults at our church.

Our Adult Apha course is for people 35+. Adult Alphas at Epiphany have created deeper friendships and wonderful sharing of faith between diverse groups of people.

Are you an alumnus of our Epiphany Alpha? And if not, are you someone who is looking for a community to continue your education in your faith, or in understanding your relationship to God? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for faith, fellowship, and conversation. Our Epiphany Connect Groups are specifically designed to bring people together to deepen their understanding of our Catholic faith.
When and Where?
We meet every Tuesday evening at 7pm in the welcoming and comfortable environment of our parish hall. As you step through the doors, you'll be greeted by the aroma of a delicious, home-cooked meal awaiting you. And the best part? It's absolutely free! What better way to start your evening than with good food and great company?
At dinner, you’ll have the opportunity to meet new and old friends in fellowship—people of all ages, genders and backgrounds who are hungry to know more about God, and to experience the Holy Spirit by sharing and listening to one another (not unlike the synod!).
Fellowship and Conversation
After dinner, the group usually forms into smaller and more focused clusters, usually according to age and experience—young adults vs millenn-Xers vs more senior sisters and brothers. Each group delves into a short, thought-provoking presentation prepared by members, and then engage in a lively synodal type of discussion, all centered around topics related to our Catholic faith. Our aim is to foster a deeper understanding and exploration of the beliefs and teachings that guide us in our journey as Catholics. This is an opportunity for you to expand your knowledge, share your insights, and learn from others who have walked a similar path.

Joining an Epiphany Connect Group is like joining an extended family that supports and encourages each other on our faith journeys. We empower one another to live out our Catholic faith authentically and make an impact in our communities. Together, we can navigate the challenges of the young adult stage of life and continue to grow in our spirituality.
