Thrive For Life’s mission is to transform lives behind and beyond U.S. prison walls. Since 2016, Thrive For Life has developed a continuity of care that strives for the successful and permanent reentry of people returning from prison.

Following the tradition of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the retreats behind the prison walls provide guided reflective and meditative resources for an examined life. In addition, Thrive For Life maintains correspondence with +3000 retreatants through monthly newsletters, spiritual literature, and care packages throughout the states of NY, NJ and FL.

In 2019, Thrive For Life opened its premier Ignacio House of Studies, a transitional living community with a holistic suite of supportive services to support people continuing the good work of education beyond the prison walls. Thrive For Life has forged partnerships with universities who provide pathways and scholarships for justice-impacted people.
